Ian believes the preservation of models created by ammeters and master craftsman alike is of the utmost importance. The skills, passion, and craftsmanship the creators of these models have shown is part of maritime history. If you visit any museum in the world there is a pretty good chance there will be model boats on display. No computers, laser cutters, or 3D printers were used, just plain old fashioned skill and creativity using whatever materials were at hand. Any chance I get to handle a model made by someone be it 50 years ago or hopefully even older is something I both treasure and enjoy.
