Tall ship models and models of old time classics can be extraordinary, the detail achievable can be breathtaking.

These models will be centrepiece in a room whether it be a hotel foyer, museum, or home, a quality model of a famous or favourite ship will not disappoint.

These models are hand made in Australia and can be created to any size or any scale.

Often a model may already exist in a kit form and I often use these kits as the basis of models I create, why reinvent the wheel. A quality kit may include the back bone of a great model, the frames, planks, masts and spars etc. May be just as good as I can make and they are already there. I will dispose of the pieces that look a bit “plasticy” and remake these pieces to look more authentic. If a kit is not available then it is back to hand making everything….but that what I love.

If there is a downside to these works of art it is the extraordinary amount of time that goes into creating a quality model. Many hundreds of hours are involved as every plank is hand fitted , every block threaded, every line has to be tied off and every sail hand stitched and set.
